Eleah Jayne Peal is a director, fight/movement choreographer, performer and education artist working with stage companies and arts education programs in the Capital Region of NY. Eleah graduated with a B.F.A. in Acting from SUNY Fredonia in 2015 and has extensive method, movement and classical text training, from Shakespeare and Co. in Lennox, MA to the Moscow Art Theatre School. Currently certified in the 8 standard weapons disciplines and theatrical firearm safety with advanced status, Eleah specializes in areas of theatrical violence, consent practices in theatre, Laban Movement Analysis, Commedia dell'Arte, and stage makeup. Since 2018, Eleah has worked at The Theatre Institute at Russell Sage College's Performing Arts department as a professor of Stage Combat and Makeup for the Stage. During this time she received an M.S. in Organization Management from Russell Sage, and since August 2024, has stepped up as trainee for role of Executive Director of Steamer No. 10 Theatre in Pine Hills, Albany. Additionally, Eleah works with local high schools and theatre youth programs, and is a proud board member of the Creative Action Unlimited, artistically involved with CAU's Playback Theatre Company and touring productions Any Addict, Carry Your Heart, The Climb & Release. A consent forward artist, Eleah enjoys crafting physical stories onstage and using theatre as a tool to both educate and empower.
